Between two sheets of parchment paper, roll 1 cup of crisp rice treat until flat and firm. (In the shape of a rectangle.)Remove top sheet of parchment. Lay licorice or gummy worm candy on long edge of treat and begin to roll. You can add a fruit roll up at this stage for a spiral inside, or surround the outside of hte roll to look like it is wrappedin seaweed. Use the parchment paper to help get a tighter roll. Roll should be approximately 1 1/2″ in diameter. Let the rolls rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing with a sharp knife.
For the Caramel Crunch Roll, use regular crispy treat and scotchie treats layerd and rolled together. Sprinkle granola, chopped nuts or crushed toffee on parchment and roll again. Slice and drizzle with caramel sauce. Serve with your favorite chocolate sauce for dipping. (Here is a link to a Scotchie Recipe. Just don’t use the chocolate and butterscotch chips.)
