Mongolian Stir Fry Simmons Style
Mongolian Stir Fry is a favorite of our family. “You get what you get AND you don’t throw a fit!” does not apply for Mongolian Stir Fry! You get to choose what you get! Everyone’s bowl is as individual as they are!
The meats are sliced paper thin. (We use a meat slicer.) The meat will peel off the slicer in beautiful curls. We used to cut them by hand. Either way it works much better if the meat is almost frozen .
Ingredients:
Onion, bell peppers ,mushrooms, cabbage, sweet peas, pineapple, radishes., broccoli, cauliflower, baby corn, water chestnuts, bean sprouts, tofu, chicken, beef, cooked shrimp, prepared noodles.
Prepared Rice. (1/2 cup per person.)
You get to choose what you get!
Sauce:
The sauce is made to taste. We use soy sauce, lime juice, a little bit of garlic, Mongolian fire oil, and for additional heat add chili flakes and/or Siracha chili sauce.
Directions:
Chop vegetables and slice meats.
Add to your bowl your choice of meats, veggies and add 1-1/2 TBS sauce. The ingredients will cook down, so don’t be afraid to fill the bowl up.
Cook in a wok or frying pan. Serve with rice.
