Faked Potatoes for Dessert
Ingredients
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- Hot Chocolate Mix
- Whipped Topping
- Banana
- Aluminum Foil (optional)
Make potato shaped balls of vanilla ice cream.
Place on a platter, cover and freeze for 3 hours or overnight.
When ice cream potatoes are hard, remove them from the freezer and coat with hot cocoa mix.
A spatula works well to transfer potatoes to a plate or, I like to use aluminum foil to make a boat for the cold spud to sit in. This makes it easier to put the “Faked Potatoes” back in the freezer for later. If you just can’t wait, serve them immediately!
To serve; slice open top of the ice cream potato. Top with whipped topping and garnish with a slice of banana. If you square up the banana slice it looks like a “pat of butter”.
You just can’t beat a great spud!
