Jack Likes Jack
“That’s me! That’s Jack!”
We have not been silent to the fact that there is a fair amount of mental illness in our family. Different members suffer from serious depression to other less common forms of mental illness. No one helps these family members more than Jack. Even with his challenges, Jack loves Jack. What an important concept! Our son, who loves taking selfies, knows that despite his challenges, he is important. He knows that he is loved. And even on days when he encounters those who make him feel sad, or less than what he really is, Jack does just fine. Jack is never afraid of not being loved. He knows that he is loved by one of the most important persons that any of us could ever be loved by: Ourselves.
