John M. Simmons is an award-winning author and adoption advocate. He and his wife, Amy, have three biological sons and six adopted children from Russia and the United States. Simmons shares his experience with special needs and international adoption in television, radio and newspaper interviews and editorials. He makes regular book club appearances, and is a frequent guest speaker for various civic and other groups to increase awareness about international adoption.
